I'm getting alot of questions about Slizirds, and the secret I'm working on is taking a little longer then I thought, so I'm answering all Slizird related questions here in a journal, because I'm getting a little tired answering the same questions over and over u_u


Q- Are you making more Slizirds in the future?
A- Of course I am. Unless I state otherwise. It's alot of fun to see what kind of people try to claim a Slizird during the giveaways, so I look forward to it everytime.

Q- Can I claim a Slizird for a friend, or hold a spot for a friend?
A- No, sorry. It wouldn't be fair to other people who are trying to claim slizirds

Q- Can I put accessories on my Slizird?
A- Accessories are really limited for younger slizirds, because they can't even hold their own feathers up sometimes. But SMALL collars and SMALL bows are exceptional

Q- Can I make my own slizird?
A- I'm afraid not. I've told people no in the past, because it wouldn't be fair. If I allowed people to make their own Slizirds, then they would be all over the place, and that's just no fun for me when I want to hold giveaways :c I do make customs for people, but really just for close friends.

Q- Can Slizirds fly/swim/run/jump etc.?
A- Slizirds cannot fly. Just because they have feathers, it doesn't mean they have wings. So no flying. They ARE expert swimmers though. They can run really fast and jump. They're really good at climbing too

Q- Can you tell me when you're putting slizirds up again? I want time to be able to claim a Slizird before someone else
A- No, sorry. Everyone needs to have an equal chance.

Q- Can mine and a friend's Slizirds be couples? and can they have babies?
A- Yes to the first. It would be cute to see Slizirds be couples with each other :3 But absolutely not to the second. If people were able to let their Slizirds have babies, then I wouldn't have a need for giveaways. Plus, when Slizirds are in captivity, they are shipped to their owners from breeders, and breeders 'fix' them, so they can't do any unwanted eggs or something, and breeders don't go out of buissness...anywayyyss xD

Q- Are we allowed to have more then one Slizird?
A- For now, no :c

Q- Can I draw fan-art for your slizirds? 8D
A- I don't see why not

Q- Can you make me a slizird for ___________________?
A-If you can find a Slizird in a giveaway that matches your character, then there you go :heart But otherwise, unless you're an extremely close friend, sorry. If I said yes, then I'd have loads of people bombarding me and giving me no space u_u

Q-Can Slizirds wear make-up? (i.e.Eyeliner, Mascara, lipstick, etc...)
A- No, not really xD Makeup and relatd products are poisonous and deadly to Slizirds and could actually kill them

Q- Is there a physical difference between males and females? (besides the obvious....)
A-Well Females are a bit bigger then normal males, but smaller then the dominant males, and females have BRIGHT colors compared to males who have duller colors. They usually have alot more feathers then the normal males too

Q- How big can slizirds grow to? And how small are they when they can still bury themselves in like... your character's/fursona's/other's fur?
A- Slizirds grow to be about..bigger then a komodo dragon, well, they don't exactly GROW, one minute they'll be the size of a gecko, then the next minute they'll just pop to bigger then a komodo dragon. And I repeat myself, they are as big as a gecko when they bury themselves in character's/fursona's/other's fur :3

Q- on the next giveaway; if they are all taken, but one maches someones fursona .... will it still be taken or is there a chance that person can get it off of the person who origional got it?
A- Oh heavens no. If someone claims a slizird, IT'S THEIR'S, at least until they don't make the deadline. If they don't however, it's back up for takes, but I will never say yes to someone, then say, "OH, nevermind, you can't have it because it matches this person's character more." No, sorry

Q- When a slizard is on it's owner, do they dig their claws in, or is there a special way for them to keep their grip?
A- Actually, you know those tiny little talon like claws they have on their front paws? They actually dig THOSE into their owner's skin in order to stay in one place. It's a bit painful at first, but when the talons break the skin, the force causes a small piece of the tip of the claw to break, and very gradually, a tiny drop of numbing chemicals oozes from the talons and, well, numbs the area theat they're latched onto, at least until their pulled free. It take a bit of a strong tug to get them off, and it DOES hurt, despite the chemicals

Q- How did you ever come up with that? it started with the feathers on that one character, right?
A- Actually, yes they did start with the feathers on my one character named Twiz. But I didn't really have a reason for the feathers, and I always need a reason for accessories on my characters. So, I was sitting on the toilet one day, thinking about Twiz's feathers, and then SHA-BAM, they came to mind and I thought about them more, and finally put it down in photoshop, and the first slizird was created. Powei :3 Then people asked me if I would give Slizirds away, and that's what started the giveaways.

Q- is there like, about a certain time limit that they have until they grow up?
(I also wondered, if how they just pop into an adult, is it something like Saphira in the movie Eragon, if you have seen it?)
A- Well, it takes about 20 years for them to get to be an adult. They'll stay a juvenile for most of their life, until that 20 year mark comes around, and they just pop into an adult. But it's not really like when Saphira grows up. Slizirds turn MUCH quicker, and don't burst into flames. It's just BAM, they're big!

Q- What do slizirds eat?
A- Slizirds have a strict diet of chicken ;D and chicken only

Q- Is there a difference in the male and female's behavior?
A- Not exactly, the only difference between their behavior is that females are the ones that do the courtship dances xD Not the males. Even if it's just to be couples, females will do it

Q- Will you ever be taking COMMISSIONS for Slizirds
A- hmmm, commissions? I don't know, it depends if there are people who are willing to pay for a Slizird. I was actually thinking about this not too long ago, but didn't think it was a good idea xD So, maybe ;D
